Theses 9 Mixtapes/Albums Represent 50% of The Music I’ve Been Listening To For The Last Year and A Half. Others Great Artists Released Great Projects But At The End Of The Day I Always Listened To At Least One Of Theses In It’s Entirety Every F**king Day.
Like Kendrick I’m A Kid From Section.80,
The Weeknd Until I Overdose,
Frank Ocean Until I Turn To Dust.
I Love Album Covers / Cover Arts, Even of Artists I May Not Even Listen To, I Appreciate The Creativity, Sometimes The Weirdness, I Discovered Some Artists Because Of That, I Listened To Frank Ocean’s “Novacane” Because The Cover Art Intrigued Me (I Thank God Everyday For It!) , I Downloaded Asher Roth’s “Pabst & Jazz” Because I Tought The Cover Art Was Dope (The Mixtape Turned Out Just As Dope).
I Could Give Many Of Others Exemple Like That The Point Is 11 Years Ago Today Aaliyah Released Her Self-Titled Allbum “ΛΛLIYΛH” (Her Last Album Before She Tragically Died) Which Is One Of My All Time Favorite Album Cover So I Posted The Cover Art (As Well As An Alternate Version Of It) To Pay Hommage To This Women I Love…
I Will Probably Post More & More Cover Arts, Hope You Guys & Girls Enjoy It!
I’m Just Back From Kendrick Lamar’s First Concert In France (In Paris) and It Was E.P.I.C!!!!!!!!!! The Young King Did Not Disappoint, He Tore The Fucking Roof Of The Place. Even Though He Was Supposed To End The Show, He Came Back Two Times To Perform More Since People Kept Calling Him Out. One of The Best Performance I Ever Saw!! I’ll Upload The Pics & Vids Later On! Peace.
It Seems That People Always Put Frank Ocean & The Weeknd In Opposition, I Don’t Understand Why, They Don’t Have The Same Background, They Don’t Talk About The Same Things, They Don’t Sing The Same Way, More Importantly They Don’t Do The Same Type Of Music, Mainly Because The Fact Is They Created Their Own Genre. When I’m Listening To Them I’m Not Listening To Neo-Soul, R’N’B, or Alternative (Whatever The F**k That Is). No, I’m Listening To FRANK OCEAN, I’m Listening To THE WEEKND. They May Have Been Influenced By Some Of The Same Artists But The Only Thing They Share Is Extreme, Raw & Incredible Talent. They Are Gifted & Complete ARTISTS, The Very Definition Of It. If You Haven’t Listened To One Or The Other You Should Try, It’s Your Right Not To Like It, But Just Because You’re A Fan Of One Of Them Doesn’t Mean You Have To Call The Other One Trash. It’s Not Frank Ocean OR The Weeknd, Don’t Compare Them, Just Listen To Them, Experience Their Art, Simply Enjoy Their Music, Respect The Sheer Amount Of Work & Passion Needed To Make Greatness Like Frank Ocean’s “nostalgia/ULTRA” or The Weeknd’s “House Of Ballons” Which Are Magnificent Pieces Of Art Brought To Us By Beautiful MindS.
